Colors of Memory is an exploration of the emotional resonance of memory. I often find when I’m scrolling through my camera roll or listening to old music that I am flooded with memories I thought I lost. Through object, song, smell, and place associations, we are able to transport back to the emotional saturation of the past. Moments of rediscovery in where we’ve been and the relationships that have shaped us along the way reside in these special tokens. My thesis explores the deconstructing and recontextualizing of memory as a way to alternately interact with our past.
